Man appears in court charged with robbery

Two men, armed with knives, entered the newsagents in Bank Place in the town on Monday night, threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash from the till. 

A 37 year old man has now been charged with robbery in connection with the incident.

Billy Price, with an address of 45 St. Michael's Avenue, Tipperary Town appeared in court yesterday, he was remanded in custody until later today when he is due before Nenagh District Court for bail application. 

Another man, who was also arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody.
