One person has been hospitalised after an assault in Roscrea at lunchtime on Thursday(October 24th).
The man is being treated for a serious head injury after the incident which happened around 1pm in the Corville area.
The investigation is being overseen by a Senior Investigating Officer and Gardaí have appointed a Family Liaison Officer.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses who were in the area between 12pm and 1.30pm.
Inspector Aiden Lonergan says ”Gardai are appealing for any members of the public who were in the Corville area of Roscrea from 12pm to 1.30pm on Thursday 24th October 2024 and who may have witnessed this incident to make contact with them, including anyone with mobile phone or dash-cam footage.”
