Members of Thurles Town Council have passed a motion of No Confidence in the Health Minister.
The motion was tabled by Councillors David Doran, Noel O'Dwyer and Jim Ryan at last nights meeting of the local authority.
They sought the support of fellow Councillors over what they described as cuts to services at both the Hospital of the Assumption in Thurles and Nenagh General Hospital as well as cuts in the disability and special needs services.
They were backed by Councillors Nevin and Fogarty while Councillors Cleary, Kenehan and Grogan voted against with Councillor Kennedy abstaining.
The motion of No Confidence in Minister James Reilly was therefore passed by 5 votes to 3.
