The number of new builds in the Premier County has more than doubled on the same period last year.
169 new houses were built in County Tipperary from January to June this year.
This is a 117% increase on the same period last year.
The figures from the Department of the Environment show 126 of the new homes built in Tipperary in the first half of the year were one-off houses.
Nationally there were 5,625 new houses built in the first half of 2015 – an increase of 16% compared to 2014.

The figures for Dublin city are down 36%, South Dublin shows a drop of 43% while Wicklow saw the biggest fall on last year with 63% fewer houses built.
