The M8 has re-opened between Cahir and Cashel following two collisions which left both the North and Southbound lanes closed for a number of hours.
The crashes – one involving 3 cars, the other 2 – led to major traffic problems.
Seven people have been taken to South Tipperary General Hospital – the extent of their injuries is not known as yet.
