Gardai are investigating several collisions involving multiple horses running loose on the road.
It happened on Monday night after 11.30 near Latteragh when eyewitnesses say up to 15 horses were running wild on the R454 forcing drivers to take evasive action.

One horse died after it collided with a vehicle while a second vehicle was also damaged. The drivers were uninjured but left deeply shocked.
It’s understood the horses broke free from a field and subsequently got spooked.
Nenagh Gardai are investigating all the circumstances.
Speaking on Tipp Today this morning – Thurles man Pat Flynn came across the animals racing on the road as he and his wife were heading home to Thurles from Nenagh.
