The former Fine Gael Minister is facing 4 counts in relation to allegedly filing incorrect tax returns on dates in 2003 and 2007.

In April the Book of Evidence in the case was served on the Independent Deputy of Glenreigh, Holycross while in June the trial was adjourned until September.

Today preliminary trial issues are due to be raised at the circuit court in North Tipp before Judge Tom Teehan.
