Lowry welcomes school funding in Newport and Nenagh

Two schools in Newport and Nenagh have been granted emergency works and additional accommodation funding.

St Mary’s Secondary School in Newport and Gaelscoil Aonach in Nenagh will both receive substantial funding.

Deputy Michael Lowry has welcomed the news and told Tipp FM News he had made representations on behalf of the schools to the department.

He said the funding will help the schools to deal with significant overcrowding problems.
