Low Household Charge payment rate in Tipperary

Less than 4 out of every ten householders in County Tipperary have paid the Household Charge.

The controversial €100 levy has been paid by just 37% of the 30,368 properties liable for the charge in South Tipperary.

In North Tipperary there are 24,839 properties on which the payment has to be made – the latest figures show just 39% of these have registered.

Dublin City and Dun Laoighaire-Rathdown are the only areas where more than half the properties have been paid.

Donegal recorded the lowest payment rate at just 27%.
