Louth Garda to be posthumously honoured in Templemore

The late Garda Detective Adrian Donohoe is to be posthumously honoured by the force at the Garda College in Templemore tomorrow.

He was gunned down outside the Lordship Credit Union in county Louth on January 25th 2013.

The Garda Commissioner and Minister for Justice will posthumously award him the Gold Scott Medal for his exceptional courage and bravery. 

The medal is the highest honour bestowed by Gardaí. 

A number of other members of An Garda Síochána will receive Silver and Bronze Scott Medals, and Commissioner’s Commendations on the day for bravery in the line of the duty during the ceremony in Templemore tomorrow morning.
