Loughmore-Castleiney have won an historic double after claiming the Tipperary County Senior Football Final to add to the hurling title they secured last weekend.

Loughmore shrugged off the effects of Storm Ashley to claim the O’Dwyer Cup at FDB Semple Stadium beating three-in-a-row chasing Clonmel Commercials 0-11 to 0-07.

It’s a third double for Loughmore-Castleiney in the last 11 years.

They also claimed double honours in 2013 and 2021.

In that period they also won the football title in 2014 and 2016.
