The Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat station is looking for volunteers for the service.
Since it was founded in 1824 it's lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 137 thousand lives.

They say that increasingly many volunteers come from backgrounds other that boating.
An information evening for anyone interested in helping is being held in Muintir Na Tire Hall, Ballycomman on Monday night November 19th.
