University Hospital Limerick has yet again topped the trolley watch figures with 68 people waiting for a bed today.

Overcrowding is also a major issue at South Tipp General with frontline staff at the Clonmel hospital caring for 51 people on trolleys.

According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 574 patients waiting for beds across the country’s hospitals.
