Research by St. Michael's House, which provides community based services for children and adults with an intellectual disability, has found that one in ten parents never read to their children.

The charity's holding it's annual 'Bring A Book, Buy A Book'  fundraising campaign, where schools, businesses and communities donate their second hand books which are then sold for €2 each.
