The LE Eithne has left Cork to return to the Mediterranean today.
The Irish navy vessel is en route to help with the ongoing humanitarian rescue mission there.

The ship departed from Haulbowline naval base with 72 crew on board.
Minister Paul Kehoe was at the base to meet the Captain and crew before their departure.
