Party members will gather in Thurles tomorrow to select a candidate to contest the forthcoming General Election.
Just one name is going forward – that of Portroe native Alan Kelly. Carrick on Suir based Labour Senator Denis Landy says he believes that Minister Kelly is best placed to ensure that the party has a representative from Tipperary in the next Dail.

Senator Landy also confirmed that he will seek re-election to the Upper House of the Oireachtas following the General Election.
