Landmark Tipp farm sold at auction

Fortwilliam House sits on over 200 acres of prime land in Borrisoleigh and stretches as far as the Ragg.

The sale was handled by auctioneers Thomas V Ryan and his son Vincent.

It had been owned by the Cooke family for around 150 years and attracted up to ten bidders.

Vincent Ryan told Tipp Today the sale marks the end of an era of the great landlords in the Premier.
