16 year old Connor who suffered the brain injury in a road crash in 2012 said his life was turned upside down and but for his mother's perseverance he may not have gotten the specialist services he needed as they are scattered around the country.

Conor told TDs that there are only 6 beds in the country for children and teenagers with brain and spinal injuries and is calling for a dedicated adolescent rehabilitation unit for ABI sufferers.
