The Mayor of London says people affected by the Grenfell Tower fire have “no confidence at all” in the local authority.
The incoming leader of Kensington and Chelsea Council said this morning she’s never been inside a tower block.

Elizabeth Campbell later clarified her comments, saying she’s visited plenty of high-rises, but not actually been in anyone’s flat.
Sadiq Khan says the council’s behaviour has been “poor, inadequate and shameful”.
