21 year old Alexander Pacteau will appear in court in the first major development in the case since he was charged with her murder last April.
It’s expected Pacteau will enter a plea to the charge against him.

A guilty plea would result in a mandatory life sentence for Pacteau but the case will be tried in front of judge and jury at a full trial if he decides to plead not guilty.
24 year old Karen Buckley – a nursing student from Mourneabbey in Co Cork – was found dead on a farm outside Glasgow, four days after going missing from a nightclub in the city on Sunday April 12th.
