The local economy in Templemore is set to get a boost next year.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter has confirmed that full training for new members of An Garda Siochana will begin at Templemore college in 2014.

The amount of new recruits has not been confirmed as the Minister says he needs to ensure that all retirements are covered so the numbers of the force do not fall below 13 thousand.
It's been more than five years since Garda trainees entered Templemore Training College.
Minister Shatter says the recruits should begin their training in the middle of next year.
