Junctions 11 and 12 Southbound on the M8 are closed due to a serious accident.
The crash has occurred in the last hour and a number of emergency services are at the scene.
Diversions are in place at Junction 11, however, motorists are being advised to leave the motorway before this if possible.
There is no time yet as the when the road is likely to reopen.
