More than 86 jobs have been saved as a result.

The Musgrave Retail Group has bought the Supervalu stores at the Poppyfield Retail Park in Clonmel and on the Dublin Road in Thomastown, County Kilkenny.

The stores went into receivership in 2011.

Musgrave had been working with the statutory receiver from RSM Farrell Grant Sparks, to keep the stores open, and have now completed a deal to buy them.
