Local Enterprise Office supported companies in Tipperary created nearly 170 extra jobs last year.
The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton published the annual results for L.E.O's across the country for 2014 today.
They show a total of over 7,300 new jobs were created – taking into account losses, there was a net increase of 4,012.
Tipperary's Local Enterprise Office's cater for 278 client companies in all.
130 of these come under the wing of the North Tipp L.E.O which is based at the Civic Offices in Nenagh.
Those companies employ a total of 482 people – an increase of 107 jobs in 2014.
The South Tipperary Local Enterprise Office on the Ballingarrane Science & Technology Park in Clonmel has 148 companies on its books employing 895 people. They took on 62 extra staff last year.
Nationally over four thousand extra jobs were created by Local Enterprise Office supported companies in the past 12 months.
Over 31,000 people are employed by L.E.O client companies across the country.
