Ballina-based Technopath Clinical Diagnostics and AQS, which is located in Thurles will each spend five million euro on expansion….and in the process hire 110 new employees.
Today's announcements are the latest in a series of jobs to be created in Tipperary.
Based in Ballina on the shores of Lough Derg, Technopath Clinical Diagnostics specialises in quality controls and software for clinical laboratories.
The company is to spend €5 million over the next two years growing its manufacturing capacity in response to the growth of its product range.

Meanwhile, another Tipperary company, AQS in Thurles is also expanding and will invest €5 million in equipment and hiring 60 new staff over the next 18 months.
The company, which provides waste management for the industrial sector, has recently merged with UK based Lanes Group.
Managing Director Benny McCarthy says the new jobs will be based locally.
Today's announcements are the latest in a series of jobs to be created in Tipperary following on from First Data in Nenagh, the Silvermines project, Eishtec in Clonmel and Amneal in Cashel.
Minister for the Environment, and Tipperary TD Alan Kelly says the improvements in the economy have paved the way for home grown companies to expand and grow.
