Yesterday Alan Shatter accused the newspaper of having an agenda.

Minister Shatter said he won't answer any questions from journalists at the Irish Independent  about whether or not he met North Tipperary T.D Michael Lowry, because it might prejudice future investigations, arising from the Moriarty Tribunal report.

Political Editor of the Irish Independent Fionnán Sheehan, says the same standards should apply to Alan Shatter, as to all other cabinet ministers.
