Irish Water have been called on to have someone to deal with queries on the ground in Tipperary.

It’s particularly to help with farmers who may have a water leak – and may not have detected it, or cannot find it.

Tipp town Cllr Denis Leahy says if someone contacts Irish Water under the current system, the person on the other end of the phone doesn’t always have knowledge of the local area.

He says it’s important that there are staff to deal with localised issues.
