Investor looks set to save Flancare jobs

A County Louth based fruit and vegetable distributor has taken a 50% stake in Flancare Clonmel Distribution.

The move is expected to save 200 jobs in Clonmel and Longford.

Total Produce has invested in a new company in which it’s understood the current owners and management of Flancare will hold the remaining 50% share.

A provisional liquidator was appointed to Flancare last month.

The new company will operate from Flancare's Clonmel headquarters as well as using the Longford plant.
