Four people who were arrested in Carrick on Suir as part of an investigation into illegal poaching in South Tipperary have been released from custody.
Up to ten dogs were seized and a quantity of drugs discovered during the operation which targeted 7 houses across three counties.
The arrests were part of a Garda investigation into deer poaching code-named Operation Bambi.
The men arrested were in their 20’s and were detained under animal health and welfare legislation at Clonmel and Cahir Garda stations.
Gardaí searched seven homes in Tipperary, Kilkenny and Waterford.
€20,000 of what is believed to be cocaine was seized along with two deer carcasses, a stuffed deer head, hunting knives, high powered lamps and a jeep.
Up to ten dogs were also seized during the operation.
The four men were released from custody last with – a file on the matter is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
