Investigation into awarding of school transport contracts

The company says it's held an internal investigation and found nothing to back up recent media reports.

Last year a private transport operator claimed senior staff had received bribes – including free holidays – in exchange for awarding contracts.

However Bus Eireann says there's no basis for the claims – but says anyone with evidence of alleged malpractice by its staff should contact the proper authorities.
