Improved services at Thurles hospital.

There's some good news for patients in the Hospital of the Assumption in Thurles this week.

This follows the beginning of consultant geriatrician input from the Mid West Hospitals network.

Independent T.D. Michael Lowry told Tipp FM that both a consultant geriatrician and physician will now provide diagnostic support and assessment in the Thurles hospital.

This quality care is similar to the system operating in St. Camillus’s and St. Ita's in Limerick
