ICMSA President urges action on fodder crisis

The Tipperary Town based President of the ICMSA has identified securing fodder as just one of three measures that must form a coordinated response to the fodder crisis.

4.25 million Euro will be made available from the Government for a new fodder import scheme.

However, Pat McCormack says in addition to sourcing and securing the fodder farmers will need a drive in live exports, and the immediate roll-out of the Low-Cost Loans that were promised previously.

He says feedback from farmers shows they’re concerned.
