The number of GP's practising in North Tipperary has remained unchanged over the last 6 years.
The HSE has moved to reassure the public that there have been no major reductions in the numbers of General Practitioners in the Mid West region.

According to the Executive there were 195 GP's covering North Tipperary, Limerick and Clare in 2010 – this year there are 200.
Of these 37 are operating in North Tipp.
HSE Mid West Chief Officer Bernard Gloster admits while there has been a decline in GP numbers in some areas the situation is not as bad as some might suggest.
