The average monthly rent in Tipperary is now €767.
The latest quarterly report from Daft.ie says rents in the Premier County rose by 9.2% in the year to the end of June.
Nationally rents are now averaging over €1,300 – a 12.4% increase in the last 12 months.
In Dublin, the average is over €1,900 – that’s one third higher than at the previous peak a decade ago.
Trinity College economist Ronan Lyons is author of the report, and says other cities are catching up.
