Plans for Tipp local authority housing get green light

Tipperary County Council look set to proceed with plans to build a number of local authority houses in Gortnahoe.

Elected representatives will be brought up to speed on the project at today’s monthly meeting of the council.

The Council’s efforts to tackle the housing crisis look set to take a significant step forward today.

Their plans for a social housing development in Gortnahoe have gone through the planning process.

The proposed scheme is made up of five dwellings consisting of one 3-bedroom single storey, two 2-bedroom single storey and two 3-bedroom 2-storey houses.

The development will be accessed from the existing road serving Kilcooley Way.

The layout has been designed as Phase 1 of an overall development which when complete will comprise of 13 houses.

No submissions or observations were received while plans for the proposed development were on public display.

Tipperary County Councils is proposing that they proceed with the building of the houses in Gortnahoe.
