Morris: Council should change planning policies to allow more one-off houses

A local representative is calling for Tipperary County Council to stop co-operating with the government on the National Development Plan.

Independent Councillor Seamie Morris says is simply isn’t working.

He was highlighting the local authority’s submission to a review of the National Planning Framework which contained concerns about the ability to meet housing targets with a rising population and issues with services and infrastructure.

Cllr Morris says if we can’t build big developments because of a lack of water connection then people should be allowed build their own one-off houses.
