Jonathan Cooney appointed as Housing Director with local authority

The new Director of Services for Housing at Tipperary County Council says he welcomes the challenge.

Jonathan Cooney has been appointed on a permanent basis after taking over in an interim capacity.

He’s replacing Sinead Carr after she was promoted to CEO of the local authority.

He’s also taking over as Clonmel Borough Manager.

Housing is one of the biggest crises in the country but Jonathan says it’s rewarding work and there will be good continuity in his approach but he’s also looking to put his own stamp on it.
