The cost of renting in Tipperary increased by 14.2% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to a year ago.
That’s according to the latest Rental Report by Daft.ie
The average listed rent in the Premier County is now €1,494 – it’s up 73% from pre-pandemic levels.
Market rents in Munster rose 11.5% year-on-year, up from 7.9% a year ago.
The on-going increase in rents reflects very tight availability, with 275 homes available to rent on May 1st, down 14% year-on-year and a little over one quarter of the late 2010s average.
Nationally the figures are up an average of 3.4% in the first three months of this year which is one of the largest three-month increases in the last two decades.
The average open-market rent in Ireland is now €2,053 per month, up from a low of just €765 in 2011 and 48% higher than before the Covid19 outbreak.
