House prices have jumped more than 12% in a year

The latest update from the CSO shows prices also jumped 3% in a single month this year between June and July, that’s the fastest growth in 3-years.

The national mean average for a house is now €276,000, jumping to €413,000 in Dublin.

The most expensive place to buy is Dún Laoghaire at over €583,000, while Longford is cheapest at €95,000.
