The availability of hotel rooms may prove a bigger challenge to tourism growth than Brexit – according to Irish tour operators.
2016 is on course to be the busiest year ever for tourism, with 10.5 million visitors here.
Tourists have flocked to Ireland in their millions this year – with growth recorded in every market – 11% overall.
Spending is up too – with revenue expected to reach €5.4 billion by year end.
Brexit looms as a threat – but its impact is still unclear – according to CEO of Tourism Ireland, Niall Gibbons.

Ruth Andrews is chief executive of the Incoming Tour Operators Association of Ireland.
She says Dublin needs around 5000 hotel rooms to keep up with the continued growth.
