Hope for green light for works at Tipp blackspot

There have been repeated calls for measures to be taken to improve conditions at Turtulla Cross as well as Killinan Cross in Thurles.

In recent weeks the NRA's safety officer visited the area and local independent Cllr Jim Ryan hopes for developments soon.

The councillor says he wants lighting, road signage, markings and reduced speed limits put in place at Turtulla Cross in particular. 

According to the senior engineer in the Thurles-Templemore municipal district, the local authority is expecting a response from the NRA in the coming months.
