The research from the Medical Council puts trust in medics at a higher level than teachers, judges and journalists.
It's being published as the body releases an updated guide to ethics for those in the profession.

Conducted by Amarach it's also found that 94 per-cent of patients – and 99 per-cent of doctors – rate integrity as the most important attribute for those in the sector.
