Heritage week is underway across the country with events taking place across the Premier to mark its natural, built and cultural history.
There are tours, talks, archaeological digs while hurling fans can attend a lecture on whether or not the game was on the point of extinction when the GAA was founded in Tipp in 1884.
Other events include free tours of Roscrea Castle, the Swiss Cottage and Nenagh Gaol as well as talks and exhibitions in the McDonagh Centre, The County Museum and Cloncannon Biofarm.
Other events include displays of stone carving and cast iron work at the Swiss Cottage and an evening with Seanachie John Carew in Tipp Town
