The Portroe native says funding for Tipperary County Council will not be cut in the coming year.
However Tipperary T.D Seamus Healy says this is not the case pointing out that local government funding has been reduced since 2011 when the current Government came into power.

The Independent Deputy says the introduction of property tax and water charges will see a further decrease in money available in the local economy.
