The Health Minister will definitely be visiting Our Lady's Hospital in Cashel next week.
His Department has been in touch with the HSE Forum South confirming his intention to view the hospital which has effectively been lying idle despite having millions of Euro spent on in recent years.
Minister Simon Harris will also be seeing first hand the situation at South Tipp General in Clonmel which has been struggling to cope with major overcrowding issues for quite some time.
A proposed patient hotel to alleviate the situation there now looks likely to take longer than anticipated to put in place due to planning issues.
Forum member Tom Wood says the Ministers visit to Cashel has to be more than just a PR exercise.
