The Minister for Health is apparently too busy to meet with a deputation from the Save Our Acute Hospital Services committee.

They had sought a meeting with Minister James Reilly to discuss the future of South Tipperary General Hospital amid ongoing rumours that key services were to be transferred away from Clonmel.

However Deputy Mattie McGrath says the Minister private secretary stated that due to a very busy schedule of Government and Departmental business, the Minister is not in a position to meet the deputation.

Deputy McGrath says the Minister will not even meet with T.D's from South Tipperary on the issue.
