589 patients are on trolleys in Irish hospitals today.
431 of those are in emergency departments, while 158 are in wards elsewhere, according to the INMO’s Trolley Watch.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for a bed with 105.
This is more than double the next most overcrowded facility which is CUH in Cork with 51 patients without a bed.
At TUH in Clonmel there are 19 patients on trolleys.
