There’s been a marked increase in the number of patients left without a bed at University Hospital Limerick over the last 24 hours.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation the figures have risen by nearly 23% since yesterday – up from 79 to 97.

This leaves UHL – which covers North Tipp – by far the most overcrowded hospital in the country with CUH in Cork next on 43.
10 people who have been admitted to TUH in Clonmel are being cared for on trolleys today.
Nationally there are 492 patients without a bed – up from 440 on Monday.
