Despite a reduction in the number of patients without a bed today University Hospital Limerick is still the most overcrowded medical facility in the country.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 613 people on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

95 of these are at UHL which serves North Tipp, Limerick and Clare.
Meanwhile there are 13 patients without a bed at TUH in Clonmel and another 4 at Nenagh Hospital.
