104 people who have been admitted to University Hospital Limerick are without a bed today.

This means the facility which covers North Tipp, Limerick and Clare accounts for 1 in every 5 patients being cared for on trolleys today.

65 of them are being cared for in the Emergency Department while 39 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

In all there are 525 patients without a bed at hospitals across the country including 4 at Tipperary University Hospital.
